Alpha Futures Review

Alpha Futures is a futures prop firm operating under Alpha Capital Group. It launched in Q3 2023 and offers evaluation-based accounts funded with simulated capital. All accounts are demo accounts; the firm states this explicitly across its site and disclosures. The firm references a trading floor in London operated by a related entity, Alpha Prime, which serves as its live funded stage. The source data does not confirm a specific registered HQ address or jurisdiction.

Alpha Futures offers three account lines: Zero, Standard, and Advanced. Each targets a different level of trading experience and carries different rule sets at both the evaluation and funded stages.

Account Types & Pricing

Alpha Futures uses a monthly subscription model for evaluations. Qualified traders pay no ongoing subscription. Only a one-time activation fee applies at the funded stage, except on the Zero Plan where no activation fee exists.

Zero Plan

The Zero Plan is available in 25k, 50k, and 100k account sizes. There is no activation fee on any Zero account, permanently.

25k Zero50k Zero100k Zero
Monthly Subscription$79$119$239
Activation Fee$0$0$0
Evaluation Reset Fee$69$109$219
Qualified Reset Fee$399$499$799

Qualified Account Resets on Zero accounts (available as of March 11, 2026) can be used up to 2 times per account, provided the account has never reached a payout request, and must be used within 7 days of a breach.

Standard Plan

The Standard Plan is available in 50k, 100k, and 150k account sizes. The activation fee is a flat $149 regardless of account size, paid once at the evaluation-to-funded transition.

50k Standard100k Standard150k Standard
Monthly Subscription$79$159$239
Activation Fee$149$149$149
Evaluation Reset Fee$59$129$199

Advanced Plan

The Advanced Plan is available in 50k, 100k, and 150k account sizes. Like the Standard Plan, the activation fee is $149 regardless of account size.

50k Advanced100k Advanced150k Advanced
Monthly Subscription$139$279$419
Activation Fee$149$149$149
Evaluation Reset Fee$139$279$419

Evaluation Rules

All three account lines use a 1-step evaluation. There is only one way to fail: allowing the account balance to hit or exceed the maximum loss limit. Passing requires hitting the profit target while satisfying the consistency rule.

Profit Target

Profit targets differ by account line and account size. See the table below.

25k Zero50k Zero100k Zero50k Standard100k Standard150k Standard50k Advanced100k Advanced150k Advanced
Profit Target$1,500$3,000$6,000$3,000$6,000$9,000$4,000$8,000$12,000

All profit targets are expressed as dollar amounts.

Drawdown Rules (Evaluation)

Trailing Drawdown Values

The maximum loss limit (MLL) trails from the end-of-day account balance high at the evaluation stage. Values differ by account line and account size, see the table below.

25k Zero50k Zero100k Zero50k Standard100k Standard150k Standard50k Advanced100k Advanced150k Advanced
Max Loss Limit$1,000$2,000$3,000$2,000$4,000$6,000$1,750$3,500$5,250

Daily Loss Limit

The daily loss limit rule differs by account line. Standard and Advanced evaluations carry no daily loss limit. The Zero Plan applies a Daily Loss Guard during the evaluation stage. Hitting it locks trading until the next day at 6PM ET; it does not fail the account.

25k Zero50k Zero100k ZeroStandard (all sizes)Advanced (all sizes)
Daily Loss Guard$500$1,000$2,000NoneNone

Drawdown Calculation Method

EOD trailing applies to all accounts at the evaluation stage. The drawdown level updates only at the close of each trading day based on the closing balance. Intraday highs do not move the level. The source explicitly confirms that none of Alpha Futures’ accounts use intraday trailing drawdown.

Drawdown Lock

The MLL stops trailing once it reaches the initial starting account balance on all accounts. This lock applies at the evaluation stage across all three account lines.

Consistency Rule (Evaluation)

The consistency rule differs by account line at the evaluation stage. See the table below.

Zero (all sizes)Standard (all sizes)Advanced (all sizes)
Consistency Rule on EvaluationNone50%50%

The 50% rule means no single trading day’s profit can exceed 50% of total net profits accumulated during the evaluation. The evaluation won’t pass until this condition is met. Because the Zero Plan has no consistency rule, a Zero evaluation can be passed in a single trading day.

Minimum Trading Days

Minimum trading day requirements differ by account line. See the table below.

Zero (all sizes)Standard (all sizes)Advanced (all sizes)
Minimum Trading DaysNone22

Time Limit

No time limit applies to any evaluation across any account line.

Position Size & Contract Limits

Contract limits during the evaluation stage differ by account line and account size. See the table below.

Max Minis13651015
Max Micros10306050100150

Position limits are the same for Standard and Advanced accounts of the same nominal size at the evaluation stage.

Activation Fee

The activation fee structure differs by account line. See the table below.

The activation fee must be paid alongside KYC completion and contract signing. After payment, the Qualified Account is issued within 1–2 business days.

Funded Account Rules

The funded stage is called the Qualified Account stage. All Qualified Accounts use simulated capital. Rules at this stage differ from the evaluation stage and differ across the three account lines.

Drawdown Rules (Funded)

Trailing Drawdown Values

MLL values at the funded stage match the evaluation stage figures. The MLL continues to trail from the EOD balance high. Values differ by account line and account size, see the table below.

25k Zero50k Zero100k Zero50k Standard100k Standard150k Standard50k Advanced100k Advanced150k Advanced
Max Loss Limit$1,000$2,000$3,000$2,000$4,000$6,000$1,750$3,500$5,250

An important mechanic at the funded stage: withdrawals count against the account balance, which directly affects the MLL. If a trader grows a $50k Standard account to $55,000 with an MLL sitting at $50,000 and withdraws the full $5,000 profit, the balance drops back to $50,000, which breaches the MLL and closes the account.

Daily Loss Limit

The daily loss limit rule differs by account line at the funded stage. On Qualified accounts the Daily Loss Guard remains a soft breach: trading is locked until the next day, the account is not closed. Advanced Qualified accounts have no preset Daily Loss Guard, though traders can configure a custom one in their platform. See the table below.

25k Zero Qualified50k Zero Qualified100k Zero Qualified50k Standard Qualified100k Standard Qualified150k Standard QualifiedAdvanced Qualified (all sizes)
Daily Loss Guard$500$1,000$2,000$1,000$2,000$3,000None (optional)

Drawdown Calculation Method

EOD trailing applies at the funded stage across all account lines, consistent with the evaluation stage. The drawdown level only updates at the close of each trading day.

Drawdown Lock

The MLL locks once it reaches the initial starting account balance at the funded stage, identical to the evaluation stage mechanic. Hitting the MLL on a Qualified account closes the account. On Zero Qualified accounts only, a Qualified Account Reset is available up to 2 times within 7 days of a breach, provided no payout has ever been requested on that account.

Consistency Rule (Funded)

The consistency rule differs by account line at the funded stage. See the table below.

Zero QualifiedStandard QualifiedAdvanced Qualified
Consistency Rule40%40%None

The 40% rule on Zero and Standard Qualified accounts means no single trading day’s profit can be greater than or equal to 40% of net profits accumulated since the last payout request. If the threshold is exceeded, the payout button is locked; the account isn’t breached, but trading must continue until the rule is satisfied. The rule resets between each payout request.

Position Size & Contract Limits (Funded)

Contract limits at the funded stage differ by account line. Advanced Qualified accounts have no scaling plan; the full contract limit is available immediately. Standard and Zero Qualified accounts are subject to a scaling plan, see the Scaling Plan section for full tier details.

Billing & Account Management

Subscription Model

The monthly evaluation fee rebills automatically from sign-up date until the evaluation is passed, at which point the subscription ends. On a failed evaluation, the account resets automatically at rebill and the trader receives a fresh account at the original starting balance. Traders who still have an active evaluation 24 hours before their rebill date receive a dashboard prompt to choose between resetting or continuing at the current account level. Qualified traders pay no recurring monthly fee; billing stops permanently once the activation fee is paid.

Resets

A reset restores the starting account balance, MLL, and trading day count. Reset fees do not affect the monthly rebill date.
