Instant Funding Review

Instant Funding is a forex prop firm and operates under two corporate entities. Acello Ltd (trading as Instant Funding) is incorporated in England and Wales (company number 12696083) with registered offices at 30 Old Bailey, London, EC4M 7AU. The trading services and website instantfunding.com are owned and operated by Acello Ltd. A second entity, IF Pro Ltd, is incorporated in Saint Lucia (registration number 2025-00056) with registered offices at the top floor, Rodney Court Building, Rodney Bay, Gros Islet, Saint Lucia. IF Pro Ltd is an International Business Company, and Acello Ltd acts as its payment agent.

All accounts are simulated. The firm describes every account as a “virtual demo account where live market conditions are simulated,” and any reference to “funded” on the website refers to virtual funding only. IF Pro Ltd does not conduct brokerage services and does not offer real trading accounts.

Instant Funding offers six account programs: Instant Funding, Instant Funding GO, IF Micro, IF1, IF Micro Crypto, and One-Phase Crypto. All six provide immediate simulated account access with no evaluation stage. There are no challenge phases to pass before trading begins.

Funded Account Rules

All six programs provide immediate funded account access from day one. There is no challenge or evaluation stage for any of the programs covered in this review. The rules below apply from the moment you purchase and begin trading.

Drawdown Rules

The programs covered here use two different drawdown models (Smart Drawdown and Static) and the method differs by program.

Drawdown Values

ProgramMaximum LossDrawdown Type
Instant Funding10% of starting balanceSmart Drawdown
Instant Funding GO10% of starting balanceSmart Drawdown
IF Micro6% of starting balanceStatic
IF14% of starting balanceStatic
IF Micro Crypto6% of starting balanceStatic
One-Phase Crypto6% of starting balanceStatic

For all programs using Static Drawdown, the maximum loss is calculated against the original starting balance and never changes. For example, on a $10,000 IF Micro account, the account can’t drop below $9,400 at any point.

Daily Loss Limit

The daily loss limit is recalculated every day at market rollover, 17:00 EST. Instant Funding uses whichever is higher between your balance and your equity at 17:00 EST to calculate the daily limit.

ProgramDaily Loss Limit
Instant FundingNone
Instant Funding GO4% of account value
IF Micro4% of account value
IF12% of account value
IF Micro Crypto4% of account value
One-Phase Crypto3% of account value

If either balance or equity falls below the daily loss limit at any point during the trading day, the account is breached.

Drawdown Calculation Method

For programs using Static Drawdown (IF Micro, IF1, IF Micro Crypto, One-Phase Crypto): the maximum loss level is fixed at account creation based on the starting balance. It does not trail upward as profits grow and does not move at any point during the account’s lifetime.

For programs using Smart Drawdown (Instant Funding and Instant Funding GO): this is a hybrid model that combines static and trailing systems. It operates in two phases:

Initial phase: the drawdown level is set at -10% of the starting balance and remains fixed until the account reaches a 5% gain. For a $10,000 account, the initial drawdown level is $9,000.

Profit phase: once a 5% gain is achieved, the drawdown level automatically adjusts to -5% of the starting balance and then becomes permanently fixed at that level, regardless of further profit growth. On the same $10,000 account, once you reach $10,500 in account value, the drawdown level permanently fixes at $9,500.

Drawdown Lock

For Smart Drawdown programs, a payout cannot be requested from Instant Funding or Instant Funding GO accounts until all trades are closed and Smart Drawdown is locked in. This means the Smart Drawdown must have transitioned from its initial -10% phase to its fixed -5% phase (a 5% profit must have been achieved) before a withdrawal is available.

For static drawdown programs, no drawdown lock mechanism applies. The drawdown level is fixed from day one and does not change.

Consistency Rule (Funded)

The consistency rules differ significantly by program.

Instant Funding and Instant Funding GO: No consistency rule applies. These programs have no consistency requirements.

IF Micro: On-demand payouts require that the best trading day does not exceed 15% of total profit. For example, if total profit is $1,000, the best single trading day must be $150 or less. Accounts with the +5% Best Day add-on have a higher threshold of 20%.

IF1: The best single trade (not best day) must not exceed 15% of total profit. A net profit of at least 2% of the starting balance is also required.

IF Micro Crypto: The best trading day must not exceed 15% of total profit. A net profit of at least 5% of starting balance must be reached before a payout can be requested.

One-Phase Crypto: A profit target of 10% must be reached and a minimum of 7 trading days completed before the first payout. After that, payouts require net profit of at least 1.5% of the starting balance.

Lot Size Limits (Funded)

All programs apply a Maximum Lot Rule, which caps the total lot size per asset class. Multiple positions in the same asset class are counted together. Violating the Maximum Lot Rule results in a full account reset for funded accounts (for challenge accounts not covered in this review, progressive deductions apply up to a breach on the third violation).

Leverage

Standard leverage applies across all programs:

Asset ClassStandard Leverage
Currencies1:100
Commodities1:20
Indices1:20
Crypto1:2

Due to increased market volatility, leverage on metals, oil, and indices is temporarily set to 1:5, with standard leverage to be restored once market conditions stabilize.

Instant Funding GO80%
IF Micro80%

IF Micro Crypto80%
One-Phase Crypto80%

Static account holders (IF Micro, IF Micro Crypto, One-Phase Crypto) can achieve a 90% profit split after achieving 10% profit over a 3-month trading period. To qualify, trade on the account for at least 3 months, achieve 10% or more in profit, then contact support to request a review. Once approved, the split increases to 90%.

Payout Rules

First Payout Requirements

The requirements differ substantially by program, so each is addressed separately.

Instant Funding: The first withdrawal is available 14 days after the first trade. Before requesting, all trades must be closed and Smart Drawdown must be locked in (i.e., the 5% profit threshold must have been reached). The minimum withdrawal amount is $25.

Instant Funding GO: The same conditions apply as Instant Funding: first withdrawal available 14 days after the first trade, all trades must be closed, and Smart Drawdown must be locked in. Minimum $25.

IF Micro: On-demand payouts are available as soon as the consistency rule is met: best trading day not exceeding 15% of total profit, and net profit of at least 5% of starting balance. All trades must be closed before requesting.

IF1: One payout is available after the 24-hour account period ends, provided that the best single trade does not exceed 15% of total profit and net profit is at least 2% of starting balance.

IF Micro Crypto: On-demand payouts are available when the best trading day does not exceed 15% of total profit and net profit reaches at least 5% of starting balance.

One-Phase Crypto: The first payout is available after net profit reaches at least 1.5% of starting balance and a minimum of 7 trading days have been completed (at least one trade opened per day).

Subsequent Payout Requirements

Instant Funding and Instant Funding GO: After the first payout, withdrawals can be requested every 7 days following the next trade placed. The same conditions apply: all trades closed, Smart Drawdown locked in.

IF Micro and IF Micro Crypto: On-demand payouts continue to apply. The same consistency rule (best day ≤ 15% of total profit) applies to every payout request.

IF1: Only one payout is available per account lifetime. The account closes after 24 hours, so there are no subsequent payouts.

One-Phase Crypto: After the first payout, withdrawals can be requested every 7 days, provided net profit of at least 1.5% of starting balance is achieved for each payout cycle.

Payout Frequency

ProgramPayout Frequency
Instant FundingEvery 7 days after placing a new trade (first payout at 14 days)
Instant Funding GOEvery 7 days after placing a new trade (first payout at 14 days)
IF MicroOn-demand whenever conditions are met
IF1Once, after the 24-hour period ends
IF Micro CryptoOn-demand whenever conditions are met
One-Phase CryptoEvery 7 days once conditions are met

Payout Buffer

For Instant Funding and Instant Funding GO, the Smart Drawdown must be locked in before a payout is available. This means a 5% profit must be achieved first, as that is the point at which the drawdown transitions from its initial -10% phase to its fixed -5% phase. This functions as an effective buffer before the first withdrawal can be made.

No explicit buffer is stated for IF Micro, IF Micro Crypto, or One-Phase Crypto beyond the profit threshold requirements described above. IF1 has no buffer beyond the 2% net profit requirement.

Daily Progression Rule

No daily progression rule applies to any of the programs covered in this review.

Payout Caps & Limits

The minimum payout amount is $25 across all programs. No maximum payout cap per request is published by the firm.

Scaling Plan

The scaling structures differ between Smart Drawdown programs and static drawdown programs.

Instant Funding and Instant Funding GO use a dashboard-based instant scaling mechanism. After achieving a minimum 10% gain on the account with all trades closed, the account doubles in size automatically. When scaling, 5% of the starting balance is used, and the trader keeps the remaining profit. This can repeat up to a maximum balance of $1,280,000.

For example: starting balance $10,000, after a 10% gain the account has $11,000. To scale, 5% of the starting balance ($500) is applied, and the trader retains the remaining $500 profit. The account balance becomes $20,000.

IF Micro uses a 90-day contact-based scaling process. After achieving at least 10% gain and at least 90 days having passed since account opening, a trader contacts support with subject “Scaling Request” to request verification. If approved, 25% of the starting balance is added to the account. This can be repeated every 90 days until the account has doubled from its original starting balance.

IF1: Scaling is not available. The account closes after 24 hours.

IF Micro Crypto uses the same 90-day contact-based scaling structure as IF Micro, with the same 25% increment per cycle and the same maximum of doubling the original starting balance.

One-Phase Crypto: No scaling is available.

Live Account Pathway

Instant Funding does not offer a pathway to a live (real capital) funded account. All accounts across all six programs are simulated throughout.

Trading Rules & Restrictions

Permitted Instruments

For Instant Funding, Instant Funding GO, IF Micro, and IF1, the tradeable asset classes are major and minor currency pairs, major and minor indices, commodities, and cryptocurrencies.

IF Micro Crypto and One-Phase Crypto are restricted to crypto instruments only. Both programs provide access to an extended range of crypto pairs including BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, BNB, ADA, DOGE, DOT, LTC, BCH, TRX, and a range of altcoins including AXS, BAT, CHR, COMP, CRV, DASH, ENJ, EOS, ALGO, GRT, XTZ, 1INCH, KNC, LRC, MKR, NEAR, SKL, SNX, SXP, and XLM, quoted against USD.

Trading Hours & Overnight Policy

Overnight holding is permitted on all programs. Weekend holding differs by program.

Instant Funding and Instant Funding GO: Weekend holding is not permitted by default. You must close all positions before the market closes on Friday. A Weekend Holding add-on is available to enable it.

IF Micro: Weekend holding is permitted by default. No add-on is required.

IF1: Weekend holding is technically permitted during the 24-hour window, but positions may close automatically if the market shuts before the 24-hour period ends. Crypto positions can remain open for the full 24 hours.

IF Micro Crypto and One-Phase Crypto: Weekend holding is permitted by default. No add-on is required.

The daily loss limit resets at market rollover at 17:00 EST across all programs. No auto-liquidation time separate from the breach rules is documented.

News Trading Policy

The news trading policy differs by program.

Instant Funding and Instant Funding GO: News trading is restricted by default. Trades executed within 4 minutes before or after a major news event are blocked: market order execution, pending limit order execution, and take-profit/stop-loss triggers are all prevented on affected instruments during this 8-minute window. The firm considers high-impact (red news) events listed on FX Factory and/or FX Street as major events. “All Day” red folder events are excluded from restrictions as they don’t have specific release times.

A Major News Trading add-on is available for both programs to remove these restrictions.

The warning system for violations on these programs: up to 2 warnings may be issued with net profit deductions for trades executed within the restriction window. A third violation results in an account breach.

IF Micro: News trading is enabled by default. Trading around major economic events is permitted, but news straddling and bracketing are not permitted.

IF1: News trading is enabled by default. News straddling or any execution designed to gain an unfair advantage is not permitted.

IF Micro Crypto and One-Phase Crypto: News trading is enabled by default on both programs. News straddling or execution designed to gain an unfair advantage is not permitted.

Expert Advisors & Copy Trading

EAs, algorithms, and bots are permitted, but only first-party tools. Publicly available third-party Expert Advisors are prohibited across all programs. Only first-party automated tools are supported.

HFT is prohibited across all programs. The firm defines HFT as trades held for 60 seconds or less, or an unusually high number of trades per hour even if individual trades exceed 60 seconds. The warning system for HFT: 1st and 2nd instances result in a warning and deduction of net profits from the HFT trades; a 3rd instance results in an account breach. Only profitable trades under 60 seconds trigger warnings; losses within 60 seconds do not.

Latency arbitrage is prohibited, defined as exploiting delays in data updates to gain an unfair advantage.

Copy trading is permitted from personal accounts with other prop firms, retail brokers, or external sources into an Instant Funding account. Copy trading between unrelated accounts is prohibited. Group copying (copying trades across multiple accounts using identical settings on commercial EAs) is also prohibited.

Prohibited Practices

The following practices are prohibited across all programs: one-sided bets, grid trading, HFT (trades under 60 seconds or excessive volume per hour), latency arbitrage, tick scalping, reverse trading, group hedging, group copying, account management (trading on behalf of others), account churning (opening multiple accounts in quick succession following high-risk losses), exploiting system glitches, and exploiting platform inefficiencies.

Martingale (defined as repeatedly doubling lot sizes after losses) is prohibited on Instant Funding and Instant Funding GO. Traders on these programs can add to losing positions but must not continuously double lot sizes after losses.

Account arbitrage (using multiple accounts to exploit differences in trading conditions, bonuses, or risk limits) is prohibited.

Improper day padding is also prohibited. If a minimum trading day requirement applies (relevant for One-Phase Crypto), each day must reflect normal trading behavior. Opening negligible or artificial trades solely to meet the minimum trading day count is not permitted.

Additional Rules

Risk per Trade Idea

All programs apply a Risk per Trade Idea rule. A trade idea is defined as all open positions on the same instrument in the same direction. Closing and reopening a position in the same direction on the same instrument within 10 minutes is treated as the same trade idea and does not reset the limit.

ProgramRisk per Trade Idea
Instant Funding3% of starting balance
Instant Funding GO2% of starting balance
IF Micro1% of starting balance
IF11% of starting balance
IF Micro Crypto1% of starting balance
One-Phase Crypto2% for accounts ≤$50k / 1.5% for accounts ≥$100k

Exceeding this limit results in a hard breach on all programs.

Inactivity

If no trades are placed within 60 days of account purchase or after the last trade, the account is automatically closed. This applies to all programs.

Account Allocation Limits

You can hold multiple accounts with a combined total starting balance of up to $940,000 across all programs. The caps per program are: up to $240,000 in Instant Funding accounts; up to $300,000 in IF Micro and IF Micro Crypto accounts combined; and up to 3 IF1 accounts of any size. Instant Funding GO falls under the overall $940,000 cap without a separate sub-cap. Scaling does not count toward these limits: only starting balances are used.

Trading Platforms

Available Platforms

Platform availability depends on the trader’s location. US-based traders are restricted to Match-Trader only. All other clients have access to MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and Match-Trader. Traders can switch between platforms.

Billing & Account Management

Fee Structure

All six programs are one-time fee products. There are no recurring monthly subscription fees. Each account is purchased at a single upfront price, which gives access to that account for as long as it remains active (subject to the 60-day inactivity rule).

Commission-Free accounts have no commissions. RAW Spreads accounts incur the following commissions per lot:

InstrumentCommission per lot
FX$5
Metals$5
Commodities$2
Crypto$1
Indices (USD-based)$2
Indices (other)Approximately $2 (varies with exchange rates)

IF Micro Crypto and One-Phase Crypto are available in RAW Spreads only, with a $1 commission per lot on crypto instruments.

Resets

If an account is breached, it can’t be recovered. There’s no reset or retry fee mechanism: a new account must be purchased at the standard retail price. No free or courtesy resets are available.

Payouts & Withdrawals

Payment Methods

Two withdrawal methods are available: RISE (which covers bank transfers and crypto via the Rise platform) and direct crypto withdrawals. Direct crypto withdrawals are processed in USDC (ERC-20) and are typically faster, with less KYC required.

If a bank transfer is returned due to incorrect banking details, SWIFT processing fees apply for both the outgoing and return transactions.

Processing Times

Standard processing time is within 48 business hours. Withdrawal requests submitted on weekends or UK bank holidays incur an additional business day. The firm aims to process all payouts within 24 hours of request, with 48 hours as the ceiling.

Tax & Eligibility Requirements

KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is required via SumSub before withdrawals are processed. No restricted country list is published on the firm’s public pages.
