FunderPro Review

FunderPro is a forex prop firm that provides traders with access to simulated funded accounts across forex, indices, commodities, metals, and cryptocurrency markets. The firm operates on an evaluation-based model where traders pass a challenge to unlock a funded stage, and also offers an Instant Program that skips the challenge entirely and grants immediate access to a simulated funded account.

All trading activity at FunderPro takes place in a simulated environment using fictitious capital. FunderPro is not a regulated financial institution; it does not hold or manage client funds and does not act as a broker or custodian.

The firm offers four distinct product lines: the One Phase challenge, the Classic challenge, the Pro challenge, and the Instant Program.

Account Types & Pricing

One Phase

The One Phase is a 1-step challenge. You pay a single fee, pass one phase of trading, and transition to a funded account. There’s no Phase 2 and nothing further to complete before getting funded.

The challenge fee is credited back to you alongside your first reward after passing. If you pass and claim your first payout, you effectively recover the entry cost.

$200,000$989

The fee is a one-time charge with no recurring billing.

Classic

The Classic is a 2-step challenge. Phase 1 carries a fee; Phase 2 is free. Like the One Phase, the challenge fee is credited back with your first reward on passing.

Pro

The Pro is also a 2-step challenge with Phase 2 free. The key structural difference from Classic is that the Pro fee is explicitly non-creditable: it is not returned with your first reward regardless of whether you pass. The Pro also offers two funded-stage reward variants (Daily and Weekly) that carry different profit splits, covered in the Funded Account Rules section.

Instant Program

The Instant Program has no challenge phase. You pay a one-time fee and receive immediate access to a simulated funded account. No evaluation, no phases, no pass criteria: you’re live from day one, subject to the Instant Program’s own risk rules and consistency requirements.

The Instant Program is available in five account sizes only, up to $100,000. It does not extend to $150k or $200k sizes and is not available to individuals located in the United States.

Challenge Structure

Phase Overview

FunderPro’s three challenge products differ in structure as follows.

The One Phase challenge has a single trading phase. Pass it and you move directly to a simulated funded account. There is no Phase 2. The funded stage uses simulated capital throughout.

The Classic challenge has two phases. Phase 1 carries a fee; Phase 2 is free to enter once Phase 1 is cleared. Passing both phases transitions you to a simulated funded account.

The Pro challenge is also 2-step with the same fee structure (Phase 2 free). It differs from Classic in its profit targets, consistency rule, drawdown limits, and funded-stage reward options.

Profit Target

Profit targets are calculated on realized balance, not floating equity. You need to be flat (all positions closed) when the target is assessed.

The One Phase and Classic challenges share the same Phase 1 target of 10% across all account sizes. Classic’s Phase 2 target drops to 5%. The Pro challenge has a 10% target in Phase 1 and an 8% target in Phase 2.

ChallengePhase 1 TargetPhase 2 Target
One Phase10%n/a
Classic10%5%
Pro10%8%

These percentages are uniform across all account sizes within each challenge type.

Phase 1 Rules

The rules below apply to Phase 1 of each challenge type. Where rules differ between challenge types, they are shown by column.

RuleOne PhaseClassicPro

Max Daily Drawdown3%5%5%
Max Overall Drawdown6%10%10%
Minimum Trading DaysNone (consistency rule applies)4 daysNone (consistency rule applies)
Time LimitNoneNoneNone
Consistency Rule40%None45%

For the One Phase and Pro challenges, no minimum trading days are formally required. The consistency rule, however, means you’ll need to trade across at least 3 separate days to satisfy it in practice.

Phase 2 Rules

Phase 2 applies to Classic and Pro only. Phase 2 rules for both types are identical to Phase 1 for all parameters except the profit target, which drops as noted above. Minimum trading days remain 4 for Classic and none (consistency-rule-driven minimum of 3) for Pro. Drawdown limits, time limits, and consistency rules carry over unchanged.

Drawdown Rules (Challenge)

FunderPro operates two separate drawdown rules at the challenge stage: a daily drawdown and a maximum (overall) drawdown. Breaching either one results in immediate account closure.

Drawdown Values

The drawdown values differ between challenge types. One Phase has tighter limits than Classic and Pro.

ChallengeMax Daily DrawdownMax Overall Drawdown
One Phase3%6%
Classic5%10%
Pro5%10%

These percentages apply uniformly across all account sizes within each challenge type.

Daily Loss Limit

The daily loss limit is the daily drawdown value expressed as a percentage of the account balance at the start of each trading day. For a $50,000 One Phase account, the daily loss limit is $1,500 (3%). For a $50,000 Classic or Pro account, it’s $2,500 (5%).

The snapshot that resets the daily drawdown is taken at 5 PM EST each day. Breaches are triggered by equity, meaning open positions are included when measuring whether the daily limit has been hit.

Drawdown Calculation Method

FunderPro uses a static drawdown model for the maximum overall drawdown across all challenge types. The maximum loss limit is calculated on the initial account balance and does not move: it stays fixed for the lifetime of the account.

The daily drawdown is calculated on the account balance at the start of each trading day (the 5 PM EST snapshot). While the breach is triggered by equity dropping below the limit, the calculation basis is balance, not equity. This means intraday unrealized profits do not shift the daily limit during the session. The limit is calculated on balance, but equity triggers the breach.

Drawdown Lock

No drawdown lock applies to standard challenge accounts. The maximum overall drawdown is fixed from the start and does not trail or lock at any point during the challenge.

Funded Account Rules

The funded stage at FunderPro uses simulated capital throughout. FunderPro may offer successful challenge traders the opportunity to provide trading-related services under a separate contractor agreement, at its sole discretion and with no guarantee.

Drawdown Rules (Funded)

The funded stage drawdown rules match the challenge stage rules for each product type.

Drawdown Values

ProductMax Daily DrawdownMax Overall Drawdown
One Phase (funded)3%6%
Classic (funded)5%10%
Pro โ€“ Weekly Rewards (funded)5%10%
Pro โ€“ Daily Rewards (funded)5%10%
Instant Program (funded)3%6%

Daily Loss Limit

The daily loss limit at the funded stage follows the same basis as the challenge stage: a percentage of the account balance at the start of each trading day, with equity triggering the breach. For One Phase and Instant funded accounts that’s 3% of the starting daily balance. For Classic and Pro funded accounts it’s 5%.

Drawdown Calculation Method

The calculation method at the funded stage is the same as during the challenge: static maximum overall drawdown (fixed to initial account balance, does not trail), and balance-based daily drawdown with an EOD snapshot at 5 PM EST for standard challenge-based accounts. The Instant Program uses a different reset time: its daily drawdown resets at 00:00 GMT+3 server time.

For the Instant Program specifically, the maximum drawdown is EOD trailing until initial balance. It trails the end-of-day equity or balance (whichever is higher) as the account grows, then locks at the initial balance and becomes static from that point forward.

Drawdown Lock

For standard challenge-based funded accounts (One Phase, Classic, Pro), no drawdown lock applies. The maximum overall drawdown is fixed at the initial balance from the start.

For the Instant Program, the maximum drawdown trails upward as profits grow, based on end-of-day equity or balance. It stops trailing once it reaches the initial account balance, at which point it becomes static. Once locked, the maximum drawdown level never drops below the initial starting value. You can never lose more than 6% of the original account size, regardless of how much profit you’ve made.

Consistency Rule (Funded)

No consistency rule applies to funded accounts for One Phase, Classic, or Pro challenge-based products. Funded stages under these challenge types have no consistency rule.

The Instant Program funded stage carries a consistency rule of 15%. Your most profitable trading day must not exceed 15% of your total accumulated profits. The rule is calculated on unrealized equity, not realized profit, meaning open positions count toward your highest-profit day. Breaching the consistency rule makes you ineligible for a reward request; it doesn’t terminate the account immediately.

Lot Size Limits (Funded)

FunderPro does not publish per-lot size limits for funded accounts. Instead, the firm applies a 20% margin cap per asset class at the funded stage. You can use up to 20% of your starting balance as margin within each of the following asset classes: FX, Metals, Energies, US & EU Indices, Shares, and Cryptos. Trades within the same class are grouped together for the margin calculation.

There are no margin caps or lot size restrictions during the challenge phase.

Consequences for breaching the 20% margin cap at the funded stage: the first violation results in profit from the breaching trade(s) being deducted, with a warning issued. A second violation closes the account and any pending payout is declined.

Leverage

Leverage differs across challenge types and asset classes. The Swing Add-On, which unlocks weekend holding and news trading on funded accounts, also reduces leverage.

Profit Split

Profit split varies by product type and, in the Pro’s case, by the reward structure selected at purchase.

One Phase and Classic: 80% to the trader as standard. You can increase this to 90% by purchasing the 90/10 Profit Split add-on at checkout.

Pro: Two variants exist, selected at purchase. The Pro โ€“ Daily Rewards variant pays a 60/40 split with payouts available daily. The Pro โ€“ Weekly Rewards variant pays a 90/10 split with payouts on a weekly basis.

Instant Program: 80% as standard, with 90% available via the Add-On.

Payout Rules

FunderPro calls payouts “rewards.” The mechanics differ across product types.

First Payout Requirements

For One Phase and Classic funded accounts: you must reach a minimum profit of $100 on the funded account before your first reward request is eligible. KYC (identity verification) must be completed before any reward can be processed.

For Pro accounts: the minimum threshold is 1% of the initial account balance, not a flat dollar amount. On a $50,000 Pro funded account, you need $500 in profit before your first reward.

For the Instant Program: the minimum reward request is $100. You must also have traded for at least 5 profitable days (each day showing at least +0.5% profit) before the first reward can be submitted. KYC is required. The first two reward requests are subject to a 5% payout cap, meaning you can only withdraw up to 5% of the account balance per request for the first two cycles.

Subsequent Payout Requirements

For One Phase and Classic: the same $100 minimum applies to all subsequent reward requests. No additional conditions change after the first payout.

For Pro accounts: the 1% minimum of initial account balance applies to every reward request.

For the Instant Program: from the third reward request onward, the 5% per-cycle cap is removed and there is no cap on the payout amount.

Payout Frequency

One Phase and Classic funded accounts pay bi-weekly (every 14 days). If you purchase the “First Reward in 7 Days” add-on at checkout, your first reward becomes eligible after 7 days instead of 14.

Pro โ€“ Daily Rewards accounts can request rewards daily.

Pro โ€“ Weekly Rewards accounts can request rewards weekly.

Instant Program accounts pay bi-weekly.

Payout Buffer

No traditional payout buffer applies to challenge-based funded accounts (One Phase, Classic, Pro). For the Instant Program, the first two payout requests are capped at 5% of account balance per cycle. Any profits above that cap remain in the account and do not count toward the consistency rule calculation.

Daily Progression Rule

No daily progression rule applies to any FunderPro product.

Payout Caps & Limits

One Phase, Classic, Pro: no maximum cap per payout request. The $100 minimum (or 1% for Pro) is the only threshold. You can trade while a reward request is pending, but losses from new trades after submission can cause the request to be rejected if the account balance falls too low.

Instant Program: the first two reward requests are capped at 5% of account balance per cycle. From the third request onward, no cap applies. Minimum per request is $100.

Processing time for all reward types is within 24 hours on business days (Monday to Friday), with an average processing time of 8 hours after approval.

Scaling Plan

FunderPro offers a scaling plan for funded traders across One Phase, Classic, and Pro products. To trigger a scale-up, you need to hit a 10% profit target for 3 consecutive trading months. When that threshold is met, your account balance increases by 50%. You can repeat this process until your account reaches $5,000,000, with your trading goals and rules remaining the same throughout scaling.

Live Account Pathway

FunderPro does not offer a live funded stage. All trading takes place in a simulated environment using fictitious funds.

After passing a challenge, FunderPro may at its sole discretion offer successful traders the opportunity to provide trading-related services under a separate contractor agreement. This arrangement is not an employment relationship and is subject to the execution of a separate written contract. Until that contract is executed, no commercial relationship exists beyond the consumer relationship for the challenge itself.

Trading Rules & Restrictions

FunderPro offers four asset classes across all challenge and funded account types:

Commodities and metals (8): COPPER, NGAS, UKOIL, USOIL, XAGUSD, XAUEUR, XAUUSD, XPTUSD.

Indices (9): DAX, ESP35, EUSTX50, FRA40, JPN225, NAS100, SPX500, UK100, US30.

Cryptocurrencies (11 pairs): ADAUSD, AVAUSD, BCHUSD, BTCUSD, DOGEUSD, DOTUSD, ETHUSD, SHBUSD1000, SOLUSD, XLMUSD, XRPUSD.

Availability of certain instruments may vary by account type. Always refer to the asset list in your trading dashboard to confirm access.

Trading Hours & Overnight Policy

Most markets are closed from Friday 20:00 UTC to Sunday 21:00 UTC. Cryptocurrency trading may be available 24/7 depending on the platform.

Overnight holding is permitted on all challenge types and funded accounts.

Weekend holding requires the Swing Add-On on challenge accounts. Without it, all positions, including crypto, must be closed by Friday 16:30 EST. The system may attempt to close open positions at that time, but the responsibility to close remains with the trader. Leaving any position open over the weekend without the Swing Add-On is a rule violation and results in failing the challenge.

For the Instant Program, overnight and weekend holding is permitted by default without requiring any add-on.

All positions must also be closed no later than 2 hours before any market closure lasting 2 hours or more. This covers official holidays and extended trading halts in addition to the weekly weekend closure.

News Trading Policy

During challenge phases (One Phase, Classic, Pro): news trading and news holding are both permitted across all challenge types without restriction. No add-on is required.

On funded accounts (One Phase, Classic, Pro): news trading and news holding are restricted by default. They’re permitted only if you purchased the Swing Add-On at checkout. Without it, you must close all positions on the affected assets and may not open any trades within 2 minutes before or after a restricted news event. The list of restricted events is maintained on FunderPro’s Economic Calendar.

Instant Program: news trading is restricted by default and only becomes permitted when the News Trading Add-On is activated. Opening a trade within 2 minutes before or after a major news release, or holding a position opened more than 2 minutes before a major release, are both violations without the add-on active. Violating the news rule on the Instant Program results in an account violation regardless of profit or loss.

Expert Advisors & Copy Trading

Expert Advisors (EAs) and trading bots are permitted across all FunderPro products. You must own the EA. Renting, sharing, or using third-party EAs without owning the source code is not permitted on the Instant Program. On standard challenge accounts, EAs may not be used to exploit platform gaps or manipulate latency.

High-frequency trading (HFT) is permitted on challenge accounts provided it doesn’t exploit system latency, external data-feed discrepancies, or create unfair execution advantages. On the Instant Program, HFT strategies designed to exploit pricing delays or technical inefficiencies are prohibited.

Copy trading is permitted between accounts that you personally own. Copying trades or signals between different users, using third-party signal services, or creating networks of traders copying each other is prohibited across all products.

Prohibited Practices

The following are explicitly prohibited across FunderPro’s products:

  • Hedging across multiple accounts (hedging within a single account is permitted)
  • Cross-account copying between different individuals
  • Latency arbitrage, tick scalping arbitrage, hedge arbitrage, and gap-exploitation strategies
  • Using EAs or automation to exploit technical inefficiencies or manipulate order processing
  • Holding positions solely to profit from expected weekend or overnight price gaps (Instant Program)
  • Overleveraging and reckless position sizing
  • Martingale and grid strategies used in a gambling or uncontrolled manner (martingale is permitted if it complies with all challenge rules including drawdown limits)
  • Trading from a restricted country, including via VPN or VPS masking a restricted IP

On the Instant Program specifically, using 20% or more of the account’s available margin per asset class is prohibited, as is using 80% or more of total available margin across all asset classes simultaneously.

Additional Rules

Inactivity rule: any account, whether challenge, Instant Program, or funded stage, that has no trades opened or closed for 30 consecutive days is automatically marked inactive and failed. No renewals or refunds apply once an account is failed for inactivity. The rule applies for the entire account lifetime, not just after the first trade.

Maximum combined capital: the maximum combined initial balance across all FunderPro funded accounts is $200,000. Account combinations are flexible (e.g., four $50k accounts, or two $100k accounts) as long as the total starting equity doesn’t exceed $200k.

Challenge upgrade: during Phase 1 of Classic or Pro challenges only, traders who are between 1% and 6% in realized profit can upgrade their account size. Eligible starting sizes are $5k, $10k, and $25k. The upgrade price is the standard fee for the larger account size with a 30% discount applied. Profit percentage carries over to the upgraded account; open trades do not.

VPN and VPS: permitted, but connecting from a restricted country via VPN or VPS may lead to account suspension or disqualification.

Trading Platforms

Available Platforms

FunderPro supports three trading platforms: MetaTrader 5 (MT5), TradeLocker, and cTrader. You choose your platform at the time of purchase and can’t switch afterward. If you haven’t placed any trades and your purchase is within 14 days, you can request a full refund and repurchase on a different platform.

EAs are supported on MT5 and TradeLocker. cTrader supports its own cBots automation. All three platforms support automated trading.

cTrader is not available for customers residing in the United States.

Billing & Account Management

Fee Structure

Challenge fees (One Phase, Classic, Pro) are one-time charges with no recurring subscription. Phase 2 of Classic and Pro challenges is free once Phase 1 is passed. The One Phase and Classic fees are credited back alongside the trader’s first reward after passing and claiming a payout. The Pro fee is not creditable under any circumstances.

For traders who pass using the Challenge Upgrade feature, only the upgrade price difference (not the original smaller account fee) is creditable after claiming a first reward.

There are no commissions on challenge accounts. Commissions apply only on funded accounts, charged per lot at the following rates: forex pairs $5/lot, indices and metals $7/lot, crypto $7/lot, energies $0/lot, stocks $0/lot.

Resets

If you fail a challenge, you can reset it from your dashboard. A reset restarts the challenge with the initial account balance, clearing all prior profits and losses. Any add-ons purchased carry over on reset. Resetting during Phase 2 returns the account to Phase 1.

Payouts & Withdrawals

Payment Methods

Payouts are processed via two methods: USDC (ERC20) and Riseworks. Affiliate commissions are also paid in USDC (ERC20).

Processing Times

After a reward request is reviewed and approved, payouts are processed within 24 hours on business days (Monday to Friday), with an average processing time of 8 hours.

Tax & Eligibility Requirements

KYC (Know Your Customer) identity verification is required before any reward request can be processed. This applies to both challenge-based funded accounts and the Instant Program. Documentation typically required includes a government-issued ID (passport, national ID, driver’s license, or residence permit) and a selfie. Both front and back of documents should be submitted where applicable.

Restricted Countries

The following countries are ineligible for FunderPro accounts: Afghanistan, Belarus, Central African Republic, Congo (Democratic Republic), Cuba, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Mali, Myanmar (Burma), North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, the Russian Federation, and the regions of Ukraine covering Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Kherson, Crimea, and Sevastopol. Venezuela and Yemen are also on the restricted list.

The Instant Program is not available to individuals located in the United States due to regulatory restrictions. cTrader is also unavailable for US residents.

Traders must be 18 years of age or older to open an account.
